I always dreamed of spinning some Wensleydale wool, having heard stories of its lustre and huge staple length. Well now the time has come. It's surprising how clean it looks considering how much vegetable matter gets stuck in those locks

It feels like silk, barely has any grip and special effort needs to be made to keep it from sliding out of the hands. The yarn is drapey, I don't think it will have any bounce. I will combine it with the other smooth yarns in the Advent calendar to knit the Laulu shawl. It will be interesting to observe the change in the cables texture in combination with the others.
